About Us
If you love food and wine -
it is a dream come true!

The 26th Annual Taste of Cayman Food & Wine Festival will be held THIS Saturday 8th February 2014 at Festival Green Camana Bay.

Taste of Cayman began in the late 80's with a small number of restaurants from the Cayman Islands Restaurant Association meeting in a field to compete in a Chili Cook Off. The event has now grown to what it is today, with over 45 restaurants and distributors participating in an open air event that attracts thousands of people.

The 2014 Taste of Cayman is going to be even bigger and tastier than ever!  We're bringing back some of the features that make the Festival a huge attraction each year but we also have some new, exciting elements! Don't miss out on your chance to sample tantalising food and incredible wines!

Our demo kitchen is back again sponsored by Bon Vivant! Watch some of the island's best chefs mix it up in our state-of-the-art kitchen as they show us how to make our favourite local and international dishes.

The popular heavy cake competition promotes awareness of Cayman’s unofficial national dish! Cash prizes are awarded to winners of the competition, and the finalist cakes are available for tasting within the area.

Dance the night away with live music and a spectacular fireworks display, the perfect way to end a delighful day!  This year we're pleased to announce Cayman's very own SWANKY KITCHEN BAND as our entertainment and they will be sharing the stage with our headlining act ABBAMANIA!

ABBA Mania is rated as the number one ABBA production in the world. With authentic costumes and incredible vocals, ABBA Mania performs songs made popular by the 1970s Swedish group ABBA such as Waterloo, Fernando, S.O.S, Mamma Mia, Super Trooper, Voulez Vous, I Had A Dream and Dancing Queen.  Hailing from Toronto and Ontario, Canada, the cast of ABBA Mania not only look exactly like the original group but sound unbelievably like them, which has prompted many concert goers to question whether they are actually hearing the original ABBA.

Swanky Kitchen Band has been called the musical guardians of Caymanian culture, a designation that the group proudly embraces.  The Band is committed to their mission to preserve traditional Cayman Islands kitchen dance music while keeping it current for a new generation of listeners.
Originally formed by Samuel Rose (violin) Nicholas Johnson (guitar), Daniel Augustine (drums) along with Paula Scott (grater/shakers) and Stanley Ebanks (percussion), the group has also added Lammie Seymour (bass), Jonathan Ebanks (lead guitar), KK Alese (vocals), Devon Edie (sax) and Jeffrey Wilson (vocals).

Swanky Kitchen Band has opened for Natalie Cole, Arturo Tappin, Ravi Coltrane and Yolanda Adams, and also performed overseas in New York at Caribbean Tourism Organization Week and wowed audiences throughout Trinidad at Carifesta. Their impressive body of work and unfailing commitment to their craft has earned them the prestigious Cayman National Cultural Foundation’s Cultural Heritage Award.

The photo booth is returning again for 2014! It was a huge success in 2012 and 2013, with large numbers or attendees lining up to have their photo professionally taken with fun over-sized culinary items! Your photos are instantly uploaded to Facebook, which allows you to share the event with your friends.  Picture This will be bringing the fun this year as sponsors of the photo booth!

There are a number of awards handed out throughout the night by secret judges for Best Booth, Best Food, Best Drink and more. The most coveted award of the night however is the Cayman’s Favourite Restaurant award which is the only people’s choice award.  Upon entry festival attendees will receive a wooden nickel which they will carry with them until they determine the one restaurant they deem deserving of the title!  The winning restaurant, as voted by the festival attendees will hold rights to the title Cayman’s Favourite Restaurant and receive a $1,000 cash prize.
