Fosters Supermarkets have teamed up with Cayman Island Tourism Association’s watersport members to help rid our waters of lionfish.  Fosters are sponsoring weekly lionfish dive culls, the lionfish caught on these culls are delivered to Fosters Strand and Fosters Airport and are available for YOU to buy, cook and enjoy.

Taste of Cayman 2012

Over the past two months, I’ve gotten to do, see and eat some pretty cool (or hot) things.  I OD-ed on delicious food made especially for me at nine different participating restaurants. I hung out with talented local chefs who graciously shared their recipes with me.  These experiences were all shared here on The Deep Dish as I partnered with the Cayman Islands Tourism Association in the lead up to this year’s premiere culinary event: Taste of Cayman.

It was a record-breaking year, as the 24th Annual Taste of Cayman welcomed more than 5,000 guests who used 50,000+ food and drink tickets to sample delicious dishes and tasty cocktails.

Besides giving restaurants an opportunity to treat event goers to some awesome eats, ToC participants were also given the opportunity to compete for top honors.
